I am from a farming background in Staffordshire and over the years we have watched every single cattle market close. Leek is the last remaining one. If you haven’t been to one. They’re mad! it’s like stepping into a different world, a male dominated, average age of 70; crazy place! They are incredible important places for the farming community, not just in terms of trade. There is a huge social aspect to them. The older generation buy whilst leaving the younger ones to tend to the land.

This is some personal work that I have been shooting recently. This is the beginnings of a really exciting project. I ma going to be collaborating with Chris Keenan, an amazing filmaker/photographer. he will be shooting a documentary. I’m going to be looking at 5 people who all come to the market for whatever reason and follow them home too.
